Best Robot Vacuums and Mop Systems
This robot vacuum-mop makes an excellent choice for those who live in apartments as it uses smaller docking systems and carries its own rubbish bin. The app allows you to set different modes and monitor the cleanliness and mopping. The mopping function is impressive.
Its mapping, obstacle avoidance and mops are impressive. It can pick up pet hair, spills and dirt. It also self-empties and self-cleans and refills its water tank.
Roomba Combination from iRobot
The iRobot Combo is a robot that is able to mop and vacuum. It's not quite enough to take the place of our reigning Editors' Choice, the Deebot X1 Omni, which is more efficient and has an app for mobile that is simpler to use but it does make an excellent alternative. It was able to consistently remove dirt from hard floors and carpets. Its obstacle avoidance system isn't among the most advanced in the world, as it lacks structured light and other technologies like LiDAR, yet it did a good job of preventing collisions with furniture and clutter.
The Combo features most of the same features as the j7 Plus, including new acoustic sensors onboard to identify the type of floor and AI-powered navigation, but does not have the ability to adjust suction power manually. It's also smaller than the version that uses vacuum and doesn't have a an auto-emptying dock.
The Combo is one of my favorites for homes with a lot of space. Its sleek design is also among the best I've seen in the market. remote hoover is more sophisticated than the glossy or metallic finishes of the majority of competitors. iRobot also adds some elegant touches, like a leather tab for opening the onboard bin and a shelf to hold bags in the dock. The iRobot Combo makes it simple to create maps and establish Keep-Out Zones.
Roborock
Roborock, a relatively new player in the robotic vacuum and mop industry has already established itself by offering a suite innovative cleaning technologies. Its vacuums boast industry-leading suction capabilities, while mopping systems from the company come with vibrating mops that can scrub floors clean. You can also alter the cleaning process of the bot using a variety and mapping options.
Roborock's obstacle avoidance feature allows the robot to detect objects that are smaller than its own height. This is particularly useful for Roborock's most well-known models, such as the Qrevo Master. It is the top of its kind in terms of navigation, thanks to both vSLAM, and LiDAR. Other robovacs have been reported to run over pet faeces and slam furniture with no awareness. The Qrevo Master however, addresses this issue with a Reactive Artificial Intelligence system which makes use of dual cameras to detect the objects within the room.
Roborock robots are also equipped with numerous convenience features that reduce the need for daily maintenance, such as auto-empty capable docks and multifunctional mop washing stations. They remove the need to manually empty bins and wash mops, resulting in an entirely hands-free ownership experience. The app is simple to use due to its simple layout and its lag-free communication to the robot.
Hobot Legee D8
Hobot Legee, with its wide variety of integrated cleaning features and advanced mopping capabilities, is one of the best robot vacuums/mops that can be used on wet and dry floors. Its advanced navigation system blends five different technologies to plan and follow a path that is the most efficient. It also detects various flooring materials and obstacles with pinpoint accuracy. It can lift its body up to 7mm to glide across carpets. The smart spray system uses the appropriate amount of water to get rid of staining without leaving ugly water marks.
The Legee is a Gen 4 robot that competes directly with the Eufy Robovac X9 and Ecovacs Deebot T20, both of which cost more. It comes with more features, including a flexible D-shaped robot that can clean corners and under cabinets better than the round version. Its sensors include 360deg (3D) (Lidar Encoder Gyro and E-compass), 4 forward-facing and 1 right-side-facing (IR ToF distance sensors) and two pairs of cliff detectors front and rear (most robots only have one pair). The system also has Legee SLAM to help reduce the bump-andgrind issues that are a problem for Gen 4 robots.
The Legee is distinct from other robots in that it includes a trash compactor and uses the quieter 5 GHz band of Wi-Fi. The LuLu mop wash station is included and is able to wash, refill and dry your mop's 'cloth. You can use the mop up to six-times longer than you would with other mops. It also reduces waste and the frequency with which bins are empty.
Karcher RCV 5
Karcher is known for its pressure washers and gardening tools, has been dabbling with robot vacuums for quite some time. This is the most tech-savvy model from the company. It is powered by LiDAR and creates maps of your home and can be programmed to vacuum or mop. It also differentiates between carpets and hard floors and prevent water puddles on your pile.
Its navigation is top-notch that can avoid furniture and rugs with ease and even lowering itself up steps. The robot can be customised with a variety of settings, including cleaning schedules and which rooms it should be cleaning. It has an emergency button' that will force the robot to return home in the event that its power is cut off. It can be programmed to turn off automatically when a storm approaches.
The RCV 5 is easy to use and, despite being large at almost 4kg, it's not too difficult to maneuver around furniture. Parents of small children will appreciate the safety features, such as sensors that warn you to avoid steps. Once it is charged, the device takes only a few hours to charge and the two buttons on the top will blink in green to signal that it is ready for use.
Mova E30 Ultra
The Mova E30 Ultra robot vacuum cleaner is able to combine advanced technology with a low price. It's a competitor to models like the Dreame L10 Ultra and Roborock's Q Revo. The Mova E30 Ultra is a lower-cost model, however it has features not offered in other models. It makes use of sensors to alter the settings for various flooring and surfaces, as well as to identify areas that are more prone to dirt. It also moves at a a slower pace to prevent damage to delicate furniture and walls.

The device can map your home's interior and display it within the app. You can also mark specific rooms and objects you would like the vacuum to stay clear of. The device will slow down when it detects an obstacle, and will stop from hitting it. The device is also equipped with a smart dust bin which alerts you to its fullness so you can empty the bin at the right time.
The Mova E30 Ultra offers a affordable option for those looking to delegate their daily cleaning tasks. It doubles as mop and robot vacuum that lets you keep your floors clean without lifting a finger. It also has a clever design that improves the efficiency of cleaning corners by up to 60%. It has up to 7,000 Pa of suction power and RoboSwing arms. It can be controlled using the app or voice assistants, such as Alexa or Siri.
Beko RCV3
The Beko RCV3 is a fashionable and well-equipped hybrid robot vacuum/mop that does an excellent job of keeping floors spick and span. Although it isn't able to raise its mops on carpets and rugs like the award-winning Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra it's excellent at cleaning hard floors as well as tackling damp mopping duties with impressive speed. It has a self emptying bin, a high level of suction, a variety of mopping options, and a premium app that runs on iOS and Android.
It's a bit smaller than most of the competition, and its main brush is shorter than most but it still managed to make short work of our test room effortlessly. The rotating brush on the side for edges is a nice feature and, while it didn't lift dirt from our rugs and was not as effective as some of the competitors however, it did a decent job overall.
The device can be programmed to have individual cleaning parameters for each room. It can then create detailed maps using the built-in LiDAR navigation. It's easy to control via the app, and a range of voice output options can inform you about the condition of your home robot. Regular software updates improve and extend the capabilities. The app is able to remotely control the RCV3 even when you're not at home.
